To bulk add learners, you will need to prepare a spreadsheet or csv.
First you will need to log into your administrator account and select the ‘Add new learner’ option, from the ‘Learners’ tab.
The first thing you will need to do is ensure you select the correct site for the learners to be located at.
Here you will need to select which optional and additional fields you would like all your learners' accounts, that you are bulk uploading, to have.
Once you have set out your optional and additional fields, select ‘Click here’ above the fields.
This will now display where you will be pasting your learner’s data.
Now it’s time to set up your spreadsheet.
If you would like, you can download an example spreadsheet here, and use it as a template.
Ensure that your learner data is entered in the same way in the spreadsheet, as the fields that are laid out on the LMS.
For example, this is how you would set out a spreadsheet for these fields:
- please remove the template content. If you are using the template document, do not copy across the headers.
- if you do not enter an email address for the learners, you will need to provide them with the login details manually.
- now that you have your document ready, laid out in the correct order, we can start copying across the information. Please note, this can only be done in a maximum of 100 batches.
In the text box, paste in all the fields, up to 100 learners, from the spreadsheet.
This will then automatically fill in all the fields below, and you can scroll through to check them.
When you are happy with your learners, select the ‘add course(s)’ button.
Please note that adding a course here, will add the course to all of the learners you are adding in 1 go.
You can select the course from the drop-down menu, or by typing in which course you would like to add. When you have the first course, select the ‘Add course’ button. This will be added to the ‘Your Selected Courses’ area. You can add more courses above, like you just did, and this will add more to the ‘Your Selected Courses’ area.
If the courses are highlighted in yellow, you will need to select the ‘Licence type’ and ‘Expiration’ for the licences. Once these have been selected, the course should highlight green.
Once all courses are highlighted green, you will see the 'Enrol Learner(s)’ button.
When you select the ‘Enrol Learner(s)’ button, you will be greeted with the confirmation screen of your learner’s details.
These are the login details you will need to pass onto your learners if you did not enter email addresses for the learner accounts.
