Following on from the article https://support.highfieldelearning.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360018423758-How-do-I-add-a-new-learner to bulk add learners, you will need to prepare a spreadsheet or csv. Your spreadsheet will typically have one column for the First name of the learners, a second column for the Last name of the learners, and a third if you will be including an email address for each learner.
Below is an example spreadsheet (CSV):
First name | Last name | Do not copy and paste the headers
Clive | Clark | clive.clark@highfieldelearning.com | Copy learner data only |
Ben | Grant | ben.grant@highfieldelearning.com
Alan | Ipsum | alan.ipsum@highfieldelearning.com |
If you elect any of the optional fields you'll need an additional column for each optional field.
Log into your administrator account and select the ‘Add new learner’ option, from the ‘Learners’ tab.
Ensure you select the correct tier/site for the learners to be enrolled into.
Please do not include any surplus data such as the headers.
If you do not enter an email address for the learners, you will need to provide them with the login details manually.
In the text box, paste in all the fields, up to 100 learners, from the spreadsheet.
This will then automatically fill in all the fields below, and you can scroll through to check them and address any anomalies.
When you are happy with your learners, select the ‘add course(s)’ button.
Please note that adding course(s) here will add the course to all of the learners you have uploaded, subject to you having the required amount of licenses available.
You can select the course from the drop-down menu, or by typing in which course you would like to add. When you have the first course, select the ‘Add course’ button. This will be added to the ‘Your Selected Courses’ area. You can add more courses above, like you just did, and this will add more to the ‘Your Selected Courses’ area.
If there are any yellow fields at the bottom of the page, you will need to select the ‘Licence type’ and ‘Expiration’ for the licences. Once these have been selected, the course should highlight green.
Once all courses are highlighted green, you will see the 'Enrol Learner(s)’ button.
When you select the ‘Enrol Learner(s)’ button, you will be greeted with the confirmation screen of your learner’s details.
These are the login details you will need to pass onto your learners if you did not enter email addresses for the learner accounts.
