We are delighted to announce the launch of our new Care Certificate e-learning course.
This new version of the course provides learners with the knowledge element of all 16 Care Certificate standards, as well as being developed to support the knowledge criteria of the Highfield Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate (RQF). Learners wishing to achieve this regulated qualification should engage with a Highfield-approved training provider, to evidence completion of the skills criteria.
The competency sign‑off feature of the course will remain available within our learning management system (LMS). Following completion of the required knowledge elements of the course, managers can continue to confirm learner competence against the skills elements as required.
As part of this launch, we have taken steps to ensure a smooth transition for existing customers and learners:
- any unused licences for the original Care Certificate held within customer licence banks have been automatically replaced with licences for the new Care Certificate course.
- the original Care Certificate course has been removed from sale and licences can no longer be assigned to it.
- learners have been notified through the LMS about this change. Where a learner has not yet reached 100% completion on the original course, they can request access to the new version free of charge.
- learners with 0% progress on the original Care Certificate will be automatically enrolled onto the new course, with the original enrolment removed.
If you are already using the Care Certificate e-learning, no action is required - these changes have been handled automatically. If you are enrolling new learners, the new Care Certificate course is now available to assign.
Where learners are only required to complete specific modules, this continues to be supported. When a certificate is generated, confirmation of the modules completed will be displayed.
If you have any questions about the new course, licence changes, learner progression or accessing specific modules, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
